Boxing champ Haye swaps sparring for serving and spiking!
Heavyweight champion boxer David Haye added a twist to his preparation for the big fight with Tony Bellew this Saturday…by playing beach volleyball.
As you can see from our exclusive video as part of our #BeachMeets series, the London boxer was a special guest at the Fort Lauderdale Major last month where he challenged Italian Olympic beach volleyball star Alex Ranghieri to an impromptu training session on the Florida coast.

“I heard the excitement of what happened at the 2012, London Olympics, so I wanted to come and see it for myself. I have to say I wasn’t disappointed,” said Haye, who also took time out of his busy training schedule to co-commentate live on a match on Center Court for TheSPORTbible.
“Boxing’s one thing. I can bounce around for 10 rounds on a hard surface but as soon as you incorporate the sand it changes the whole game, it makes it so much more difficult.
“You’ve got to be an amazing athlete to perform this at any type of level.
“I’ll be doing my sand-boxing tomorrow!”
