Huge proceeds from Cocktails with the Champions to benefit cancer charity
Cocktails with the Champions, presented by AutoNation, at the Fort Lauderdale Major raised an amazing $25,000 for NSU’s Institute for Breast and Solid Tumor Cancer Research.
Olympic and World Champions of beach volleyball were the special guests at the exclusive charity event.
Hosted by NBC 6’s Adam Kuperstein, Cocktails with the Champions provided an opportunity for guests to rub shoulders with the stars of beach volleyball and take in one of the most memorable games of the tournament under the floodlights on Center Court, featuring Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross and Brazil’s Barbara/Fernanda.
Guests also had variety of indulgences from one of the best international chefs, Florian Cmyral, from renowned catering company DO & CO. There was a designated tasting section where locals could watch the chef in action as he prepared a sampling of each dish.
However, the most important aspect of the evening was the money raised for NSU’s Institute for Breast and Solid Tumor Cancer Research. The institute is focused on developing and advancing improved methods of prevention and treatment, and eventual cures for various forms of cancer.
We would like to thank everyone involved who made the night such a success and to those who helped raise such an incredible figure.
