Former Olympic champ takes us on a whistlestop tour around town
It’s important when we’re in town for a beach volleyball tournament we get to take a look around the place!
And when we’re in a place as beautiful and cool as Fort Lauderdale it would be madness to pass up the chance to explore the sights.
So our beach volleyball ambassador – and 2012 Olympic gold medalist (plus not to mention all round good guy) Julius Brink jumped at opportunity to see the must-see attractions in Fort Lauderdale.
Julius took a tour with our friends from TravelHost, the official media sponsor, around the city – taking in various stops along the way.
From the amazing view of the beach from the Burlock Coast at the Ritz Carlton to food, drinks and free Yoga classes at Shooters Waterfront, there is plenty of options to chill and unwind after a hard day’s work of watching beach volleyball on Center Court – not to mention shopping at the Las Olas!
Julius also took a blissful water taxi along the Intracoastal where his jaw dropped at the sizes of the villas and yachts on view.
As you can see from our photographs, Julius had a great time exploring Fort Lauderdale – it certainly is the place to be – even when there’s no beach volleyball on!
