The last match of the day proved to be as exciting as everyone hoped.

Casey Patterson and Jake Gibb, two of the most popular American athletes on the World Tour, lost a very close and intense battle on Center Court to close out the third day of competition. They took on the undefeated and athletic Brazilian team of Pedro and Evandro, and the match went down to the wire. This 4 PM match was Pedro/Evandro’s second match of the day, but they dug deep and pulled out the decisive victory in 3 sets (21-19, 19-21, 15-10).

Evandro had several monster blocks at key moments throughout the 3rd game that came up huge for the Brazilians. Pedro’s energy was electric and he fed off the large crowd that gathered late in the afternoon to cheer on both the USA and Brazil with flags and fantastic dance moves. With today's two huge wins, this impressive Brazilian team is now 3-0 with one more game to try and win out their pool.
