American Top Seed Falls, Germany Victorious
The German team of Ludwig/Walkenhorst handed USA’s top seeded Fendrick/Ross their first loss of the tournament today.
Lauren Fendrick and April Ross looked a bit sluggish in their match today against the 5th seeded German team. On the other side of the court, Ludwig and Walkenhorst looked crisp and focused as they eased their way to a 2-set victory (21-14, 21-18). Lauren and April now sit at 2-1 on the tournament and have another match tomorrow against the Spanish team of Baquerizo and Liliana at 11AM ET.
